My Year As Mayor

Representing the people of Haringey, in all their splendid diversity, has literally meant a seven day week. It has meant attending nearly four hundred events, visiting more than forty schools, opening fetes, visiting old peoples homes and churches of all denominations, with highlights including sharing a platform on two occasions with Neville Lawrence and Joy Gardiner's mother. I am tired, but happy, that during the past year, I have come to know better.........this wonderful place and its people.

A visit to Pendarren House, Haringays Outwood Bound Centre, with Councillors and Officers to celebrate 25 years of the facility for the Borough. I was pleased to be there as I was at the inauguration of the centre, also my children used to go there on school trips.

Launching the new initiative for council workers to ride to work.
